Console Wars - Finale from Lasse Pulkkinen on Vimeo.
…And if you won’t take 20 minutes’ worth of Lasse’s word for it, there’s always CNET, IGN, 1UP, Kotaku, Wikipedia (compare the hardware failure rate of 10% with the Xbox 360’s 54%), and anyone else who knows what he or she is babbling about.
Yes, PS3’s margin of victory has to be called relatively small, since by all accounts, the 360 experience is a solid one. It’s a solid experience, that is, until your Xbox breaks. I still remember a time when stores would simply pull a product from shelves if half the units came back faulty. And that alone is what turns a relatively small difference into a night-and-day one. Add to that the fact that base prices are now even, while Xbox Live will cost you an additional fifty dollars, and a Playstation 3 is far and away the better purchase.
